The Medical Products Agency (MPA) is the authority responsible for surveillance of all aspects concerning pharmaceuticals in Sweden. SWEDIS (SWEdish drug Information System) is the national database containing information of Medicinal Products.

Medicinal products
Contains regulatory data of all currently approved medicinal products as well as withdrawn products.

Substances
Contains the names of all ingredients. Synonymous names of substances are also stored.

Adverse reactions
Contains details on all adverse events reported by Swedish Health Care Professionals since the registration of adverse events was introduced in 1965.
